 
Tucked away at Mission Beach 50 metres from the magnificent white tropical sandy beach with views across to Dunk Island is the Dunk Island View van Park. The Van Park is nestled among tall palms on 5 ½ acres of lush green rainforest grounds.
Mission Beach is still one of most best kept secrets of Far North Queensland. Located half way between Townsville (in the south) and Cairns (north) and directly opposite the islands of Dunk and Bedarra. By boat Mission Beach is a mere 50 minutes from the Barrier Reef.
As Mission Beach is still yet to be discovered by many Australian and overseas tourists you will find this one of the most uncrowded; quiet and relaxing places to visit in the east coast of Australia. The beach stretches 14 kilometres with white sand on the edge of the spectacular Coral Sea. There are days here where will feel that you are the star of “Survivor” with no one invading your space and the beach is all yours. Mission Beach is also famous for its world heritage rainforests. This is where the expression “the Reef meets the Rainforest” comes true.
Mission Beach has the highest diversity of different habitat types in the Wet Tropics and is the most important location in Australia for the endangered southern cassowary.
Mission Beach comprises several small townships – Bingal Bay, Mission Beach, Wongaling Beach and South Mission Beach.
The Dunk Island View Van Park is located directly opposite Wongaling Beach – central to shops; restaurants; cafes and Bars BUT amidst rainforest and a serenely peaceful environment.
Camping
For campers there is a camp kitchen with fridges, stove, oven, microwave & television.
Holiday Units
For those who like the more homely comforts, there are 8 fully self contained units with en suite bathrooms and air conditioning, basic, but comfortable and can accommodate up to six people. Linen is provided.
Facilities
Our pool is a lovely way to relax. You can cook a BBQ while the family are taking a dip, or just relax and read. There is a general amenities block with washers and dryers and clothes lines and other laundry equipment on request.

Pet Friendly
Dunk Island View Van Park is one of the few pet friendly parks in Far North Queensland. Pets may stay on application. Note however that pets are not permitted in the holiday unit accommodation.

Special Treats
Saturday or Sunday afternoon, indulge and treat yourself to a massage with a qualified masseuse at the park. Bookings are essential.
Free Of Charge
For your convenience all tours & thrills and spills can be booked at the park shop at no charge.
The Shop with the Lot
The shop supplies delicious takeaway food, fuel, LPG gas fills and ‘Swap & Go’, bait, ice, smokes, drinks, ice creams and a large variety of groceries. Operates 6.30am to 7pm everyday.
